Emily received her formative training at Laird Academy where she took all her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations from Primary through to Grade 8. She was awarded distinctions in all of these examinations and before leaving for higher education, received the RAD Intermediate and Teaching certificate.
Whilst attending Laird Academy she also gained all grades and Majors in ISTD Modern and Tap.
Emily subsequently was selected to attend Laine Theatre Arts from where she graduated with a level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre, also gaining her Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in both ballet and modern.
Emily is also a talented musician, playing the piano from an early age and achieving Grade 8.
Emily’s professional credits include the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Gordon Craig Theatre/Lighthouse Theatre), Tink, Mermaid and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan (Gordon Craig Theatre), Laine Aflame, Laine Leaps Ahead and Flying at 40 (Epsom Playhouse), Mrs Mayor in Seussical and Judy in The curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Epsom Playhouse), Cinderella (Harlequin Theatre) and an appearance with Group 5 (Royal Albert Hall).
Emily is delighted to now be returning in a professional capacity to Laird Academy and hopes that her expertise will be of significant benefit to all Dance and Musical Theatre course students.
